SHARLA FANOUS — BEYOND THE SYSTEMS

A place to make things without a script.

Four book covers titled 'Cocoon,' 'Bloom,' 'Burn,' and 'Return,' with floral illustrations and abstract line art of women on each cover. Background images include a snowy landscape, a sunset, close-up of fall leaves, and a leafless autumn tree over a forest path.

Welcome to my notebook of creative experiments, literary projects, and personal reflections—the things I make when I let my mind wander off the page. Poetry, publications, and curated thoughts on life, business, and everything in between.

THE POETRY COLLECTION

Four books, one turning year.

A cycle written through the seasons of becoming—folding in, opening, burning off, and coming home.

WINTER

COCOON

Poems from the quiet before the becoming.

SPRING

A book titled "BLOOM" by Sharla Fanous with a minimalistic line drawing of a woman's face on the cover. The top of the cover is decorated with floral and butterfly cutouts, creating a collage of roses, flowers, and a butterfly.

BLOOM

On opening, slowly, in your own time.

SUMMER

Pink book cover with a line drawing of a woman's face and a large floral arrangement covering her eyes, with the title "BURN" and the author's name "Sharla Fanous" displayed.

BURN

The fierce, necessary work of letting go.

AUTUMN

Book cover with an outline drawing of a woman's face and hand, floral artwork resembling a flower crown, and the text "Sharla Fanous RETURN".

RETURN

Coming home to yourself, again.

Black and white portrait of a woman with shoulder-length wavy hair, wearing a patterned blouse, sitting against a cushioned background, looking to her left.

A PERSONAL NOTE

Why I write.

For years, I built systems so other people could breathe. The Studio is where I let myself do the same… no framework, no deliverable, only the slow, unscripted work of making something true.

These books grew out of seasons of my own: the folding inward, the opening, the burning off, the coming back. If any of them meet you where you are, that's the whole point.
