Welcome to Organized by Sharla. By using this site, purchasing digital products, services, or subscribing to any content, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Overview
This website is operated by Sharla Fanous. Throughout the site, the terms “I”, “me”, and “my” refer to Sharla Fanous. By visiting the site and/or purchasing something from me, you engage in my “Service” and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
These terms apply to all users of the site, including browsers, customers, and subscribers.
2. Digital Products
All digital products, including but not limited to the Writer’s Retreat Kit, writing templates, workbooks, and guides, are delivered electronically via email or download link after purchase.
Due to the nature of digital products, all sales are final. No refunds will be issued once a product has been delivered.
If you experience any issues with your download or believe you received the wrong file, please contact me at hello@sharlafanous.com, and I’ll make it right.
3. Services
Organized by Sharla provides in-home professional organizing services, specializing in strategic home systems for households navigating ADHD and autism.
Services may include:
Space assessment
Guided decluttering
System design and implementation
Storage recommendations
Labeling guidance
Maintenance planning
Ongoing membership services (where applicable)
Services do not include cleaning, repairs, construction, medical or therapeutic services.
4. Client Participation
Organizing services are collaborative. Clients agree to:
Participate in decision-making during sessions
Be available during scheduled service hours (unless otherwise arranged)
Remove agreed-upon donation/disposal items in a timely manner
Organized by Sharla does not make final decisions regarding the disposal of personal belongings without client consent.
5. Investment & Payment
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure project dates.
Remaining balances are due according to the payment schedule outlined in the client proposal.
Hourly services (if applicable) must be prepaid in full prior to the scheduled session.
Failure to remit payment may result in paused services.
6. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Clients must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule a session.
Cancellations made:
Within 48 hours: 50% of session fee applies
Within 24 hours: 100% of session fee applies
In cases of contagious illness, sessions may be rescheduled without penalty.
Deposits are non-refundable but may be applied to rescheduled dates within 30 days if notice requirements are met.
Organized by Sharla reserves the right to reschedule due to emergency or unforeseen circumstances.
7. Membership Services
Membership sessions are reserved exclusively for enrolled clients.
Membership requires a minimum 6-month commitment.
Missed or cancelled membership sessions without required notice may be forfeited.
Membership terms are outlined in a separate agreement where applicable.
8. Scope of Work
Services are limited to the scope outlined in the approved proposal.
Additional spaces or tasks requested outside the agreed scope may require:
Additional billed hours
Revised proposal
Additional payment
Organized by Sharla reserves the right to pause or adjust services if the project scope materially changes.
9. Client Safety & Conditions
Clients agree to provide a safe working environment, including:
Reasonable accessibility to spaces
Disclosure of hazards (mould, pests, structural damage, etc.)
Disclosure of sensory or mobility considerations where relevant
Organized by Sharla reserves the right to discontinue services if conditions are deemed unsafe.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this website—including text, images, digital downloads, and branded materials—is the intellectual property of The Writing Ritual Co, and is protected by copyright.
You may not resell, reproduce, distribute, or share any content or downloads for commercial purposes without written permission.
11. Limitation of Liability
While reasonable care will be taken when handling client belongings, Organized by Sharla is not responsible for:
Pre-existing damage
Hidden structural issues
Accidental damage resulting from structural instability
Emotional distress related to decluttering decisions
Clients acknowledge that decluttering decisions are voluntary and collaborative.
I am not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or the content provided.
12. Results Disclaimer
Organized by Sharla provides strategic system design and implementation. Long-term maintenance depends on client participation and household dynamics.
No guarantee is made regarding permanent outcomes.
13. Photography & Portfolio Use
With client consent, before-and-after photographs may be taken for portfolio or marketing purposes.
Personal identifying information will never be shared without written permission.
Clients may opt out of photography at any time.
14. Confidentiality
Client information and household details are treated as confidential and will not be shared without consent, except as required by law.
15. Payments & Security
Payments are processed securely via trusted third-party payment providers. I do not store or have access to your full payment details.
All prices are listed in CAD (or USD if preferred) and are subject to change without notice.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
17. Changes to These Terms
I may update these Terms of Service occasionally to reflect changes to my offerings or policies. Changes will take effect immediately upon being posted to the site.
